The Van Wert Parks Department would like to introduce our New Park Director, Kyle Klinker. Kyle isn't really new to us as he worked three summers; 2 yrs. in maintenance and 1 year as the Rec Coordinator. Kyle graduated from Van Wert High School where he played football, basketball and baseball for the Cougars. He then went on to Tiffin University where he played baseball and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Sports Management. He then went on to receive his Master’s in Business Administration at Indiana Tech. Kyle comes to the Parks Department after 6 years with Indiana Tech as the Assistant Director of Recreation and Varsity eSports. He enjoys time with his family, especially his 18 month old son Declan and wife Jennifer. Kyle stays active by being involved with recreational basketball and softball. His hopes are to bring his love for sports and recreation into the parks department by building programs that the community will enjoy. Parks are one ways and means to improve the quality of life for the residents of Van Wert and Kyle plans to continue enhancing and developing the parks for all to appreciate. If you see Kyle in the parks or stop by the Jubilee Office and Welcome him.
